Frederick Brick Works, Inc., established in 1891, is a Frederick, Maryland-based building supply company whose foundation is built upon excellent customer service and superior products. Today's modern showroom and the company offices are now located at 1731 Monocacy Blvd. after 116 years at our original location on East South Street.  Please stop in to see our updated facilities.

Although bricks are no longer manufactured on location, Frederick Brick Works supplies a large variety of materials for local builders. We deliver to the quad-state area, which includes Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Frederick Brick Works built its reputation as a manufacturer of "Frederick Reds," a hard, dark, selected brick as described in a letter by an early company manager:

July 24, 1935

We make our bow to "our public" in the brick and construction business in this, our first pictorial letterhead.

We're rather proud to show and tell our ability to make a brick of such quality that architects, builders and dealers specify it not only once but again and again. We're glad to have so satisfied them that they are "regular" customers when brick of quality are needed.

We are proud of the acknowledgment that we have always made good brick and that, today, our "Frederick Reds" are superior in the trade.

Frankly, the demand for "Frederick Reds" is so large that we're selling as many as we can make'; but, we're increasing our production and we'll always be glad to give your requirements our personal attention.

"Frederick Reds" are part of historic buildings all around present-day Frederick city in campuses, townhouses, and businesses alike. The company expanded its product line in the late 1940's and early 1950's and became a major supplier of building supplies with the cessation of brick manufacturing in 1947.

A show room for retail sales was added to the premises on South Street in 1950.

Today, Frederick Brick Works continues to thrive. An expanded product line grows to meet changes in the building industry, and offers creative and useful products to home owners as well.
